I have an interest in chemical manufacturing and bio-tech. Manufacturing experience includes products that are used for cancer detection used in hospital labs, pathology labs, universities and research facilities. I also have experience in custom private-label chemical manufacturing.

I am actively searching to acquire a privately held business with an owner planning to exit the business. Generally, the “perfect” company would have a solid business model, manufacturing a product(s) line with a solid customer base. The company should have a history of profitability.
Ownership Situation
I'm looking for an owner that is ready to retire, needs to transition out of the business due to health issues or the business is in transition due to matters of estate.
The business should be large enough to have provided the owner or management with a good income, but not big enough to attract the attention of a larger firm.
Ideally, the owner has been the principal in every aspect of the business, R&D, Marketing and Production. The owner may have seemed to want to do everything himself or control it all himself. An owner that is so busy filling orders he has not had time, but had intentions of marketing. I prefer a company that is reaching the million dollar mark in sales - but I'm not so much worried about sales number as I am the profit.
The product(s) need to be formulated in house and the lab would need to be transferable (re-locatable), with low regulatory requirements.
